We need you to help us make a difference!
Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our ministry! There are opportunities to serve daily, weekly, monthly, or for special projects. Whatever your gifts and talents, you would love to engage you in serving the women and families at Hope Women’s Center. We promise it will be a life transforming experience!
Education classes meet once per week for an hour and consist of topics such as parenting, healthy relationships, job skills/GED testing prep, ESL, crafting, nutrition, teaching your child to read, pre-natal & infant care, first aid, and many faith-based classes. We are always in need of volunteer teachers!
Our mentors meet one on one with a woman weekly to help her navigate whatever difficult life situation she may be facing from crisis pregnancy to domestic violence/abuse, family conflict, poverty, unemployment, etc. Mentors also lead weekly support groups at each center. Our mentors participate in a 6-12 week training to prepare them to serve in this capacity. If you love working one on one with women, contact us to learn more about becoming a mentor!
Our Women’s Resource Room offers women an opportunity to use their earned education and mentoring “cash” (points) to purchase needed items for their families such as diapers, toiletries, clothing, food, household items, and help with their utility bills. We always need volunteers to help sort donations and engage the women while they are shopping in the resource room!
